Registration on or use of this site constitutes acceptance of our Litecoin founder Charlie Lee said in Reddit post he has sold his entire holding of the cryptocurrency. Lee pins his decision on criticism that his Twitter posts about the currency were attempts at personal enrichment. Lee says he will remain involved in litecoin and cryptocurrencies more broadly. LONDON The creator of one of the largest alternative cryptocurrencies has exited his entire stake in the digital currency, citing a "conflict of interest." Charlie Lee announced in a Reddit post on Wednesday that he had "sold and donated" all of his litecoin holdings over recent days. He said the move was motivated by criticism from people that he was trying to influence the price of litecoin with his tweets. Lee wrote: "Whenever I tweet about Litecoin price or even just good or bad news, I get accused of doing it for personal benefit. Some people even think I short LTC! So in a sense, it is [sic] conflict of interest for me to hold LTC and tweet about it because I have so much influence." Lee, a former Google and Coinbase employee, created litecoin in 2011 as a quicker and cheaper alternative to bitcoin. As of Wednesday morning, it is the fifth largest cryptocurrency with a market capitalization of over $17 billion, according to CoinMarketCap.com . "Litecoin has been very good for me financially, so I am well off enough that I no longer need to tie my financial success to Litecoin's success," Lee said in his Reddit post. Lee didn't disclose how many litecoins he had sold at what price but said his actions had not affected the price of the asset. Litecoin is down over 6% against the dollar at 10. Continue reading >>

Litecoin Ultra (ltcu)
How to Mine Litecoin - A Guide on Litecoin Mining and Other Altcoins LITECOIN ULTRA is a peer-to-peer cryptocurrency and open source software project released by a group of litecoin fans, entrepreneurs, and junior developers. Creation & transfer of coins is based on an open source cryptographic protocol and is not managed by any central authority. While inspired by, and in most regards technically nearly identical to Litecoin (LTC), Litecoin Ultra has some technical improvements over Litecoin, and most other major cryptocurrencies, such as the adoption of Proof Of Stake (PoS) and Proof Of Work (PoW) random superblocks. These effectively allow a greater amount of transactions to be processed by the network in a given time, reducing potential bottlenecks, as seen with other cryptos. Litecoin Ultra also has near zero payment costs and facilitates payments approximately four times faster than Bitcoin. The Litecoin Ultra project was launched on the 11th July 2017 when the first block of LTCU was mined. The Litecoin Ultra blockchain is a fork of the Bitcoin blockchain and was launched without an initial coin offering (ICO), high pre-mine, or pre-allocation of funds. Including a 100% fair unstamined launch. With a small initial pool of funds to draw from, and pay development expenses, Litecoin Ultra is and will continue to be a 'labour of love' of its developers and community. Continue reading >>
What Is Litecoin Ultra?
Technical specifications of the LiteCoin Ultra The LTCU is a hybrid of the two schemes PoW and PoS.In doing so, she also resorts to the Scrypt algorithm. In total, there will be 150 million coins.7.5 million of them that is, five percent have already been implemented in the course of a premi- ning. Scraping a block takes five minutes. After that, five more blocks are needed to be truncated so that theblockchainreceives a confirmation and the credit is triggered.100 coins are credited here per block on the account, there are also so-called Random Superblock Rewards, in which a higher sum is achieved. These are triggered every 10,000 blocks and here ten times each.So there is a relatively high chance of being in the pot. That reward is halved after 400,000 blocks. An annual profit distribution of 10% starts from block number 200,000. The LiteCoin Ultra comes from a young and dedicated team of developers who discovered Githubs open source file and started their project. At the time of development, it was not yet clear whether a specific objective should be pursued. This fact basically continues today. The areas in which the specialization of the coin is gradually consolidating lie above all in the secure transmission of information and also in the speed.Especially theBitcoinserves as a model, which is why Scrypt has been used in the end. A trend is going in the direction of holding the coin.Say, LTCU should be shopped and then kept until a high profit from the sale arises.A classic investment, then. This is recommended in part by the developers, but is mainly due to the fact that in Litecoin as well as Bitcoin very similar approaches are observed. There are various pools availableforminingto work collaboratively within the community. In any case, of course, awallet isneeded, which Continue reading >>
Bitcoin, Litecoin, And Bitcoin Cash Record Large Gains, As Altcoins Fall
Bitcoin, Litecoin, and Bitcoin Cash Record Large Gains, as Altcoins Fall Bitcoin, Litecoin, Ethereum, and Bitcoin Cash, cryptocurrencies that are considered as reserve assets or safe investments in the highly volatile cryptocurrency market, has recorded large gains over the past 24 hours. Throughout today, January 6, the value of many alternative cryptocurrencies have declined. Cryptocurrencies which had recorded massive gains in the past week such as Tron, Ripple, and Cardano have struggled to recover from their previous corrections, while bitcoin, Litecoin, and Bitcoin Cash have risen by more than 10 percent over the past two days. Litecoin in particular, which fell behind Stellar as the ninth largest cryptocurrency at a certain point this week, recorded a swift recovery, demonstrating a 20 percent increase in value and obtaining a $16 billion market cap. Although Litecoin still remains significantly lower than Cardano, it had made a major upward movement for the first time over the past week. The rise of bitcoin, Litecoin, and Bitcoin Cash has shown that the extremely risky and volatile cryptocurrency market considers cryptocurrencies that have existed in the market for the longest period of time as reserve assets or currencies. Bitcoin in particular has become the safe bet within the global market. Over the past 24 hours, the cryptocurrency market has a seen a trend in which investors in alternative cryptocurrencies have cashed out their returns from their ultra high profit trades to bitcoin, to secure their profits. Consequently, the price of bitcoin surpassed $17,000, briefly achieving $27,000 in the South Korean market. Bitcoin is acknowledged as a safe haven asset and reserve currency within the global cryptocurrency market because of its market valuation and t Continue reading >>
The Secret That Crypto-millionaires Dont Want You To Know
The Secret That Crypto-Millionaires Dont Want You to Know The rise of Bitcoin in recent years has made headlines on major news sources across the globe. Many have doubted it, some even hated it, but no one can deny the fact that bitcoin is here to stay. Ever since Bitcoin debuted in 2009, it has dominated the cryptocurrency market by holding a market share of over 50%. Those who have had the foresight and luck to buy bitcoins early have been turned into multi-millionaires, or have lost their $6million worth of bitcoins in the trash. Cryptocurrency has made tens of thousands of millionaires already, and if you plan on being rich in the near future, then investing in cryptocurrencies is the best thing you can do for yourself. Many economists and experts believed that it would remain the face of cryptocurrency for years to come. Although there are multiple cryptocurrencies that have made their way into the market, bitcoin has never been challenged. That is, until now. The challenger is called Ethereum , and its catching up to Bitcoins massive $43billion USD market share at breakneck speeds. Ethereum is technologically superior to bitcoin, with more functionality (such as the ability to create smart contracts) and faster transaction times. Industry experts predict that Ethereums market share will overtake bitcoin within the end of this year. With Ethereum prices already setting new highs every day, there is still a chance for those who have missed the Bitcoin rocket to make it big with the rising coin. Theyre called ICOs or initial crowd offerings and theyre the latest craze among the ultra-rich. Similar to stock IPOs(initial public offering), ICOs offer investors tokens instead of shares. These tokens have special functions coded into them depending on what they are used Continue reading >>

Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin: 3 Reasons To Doubt Cryptocurrencies - Cbs News
By Anthony Mirhaydari MoneyWatch December 13, 2017, 9:16 PM 3 reasons to doubt bitcoin, ethereum, litecoin and other cryptocurrencies Last Updated Dec 13, 2017 9:16 PM EST Bitcoin's euphoric rise has spread, something like cancer, into other "alt coins," pushing up the value of ethereum and litecoin, among other cryptocurrencies. Ask the regular Joe diving into cryptocurrencies via credit cards the difference between regular bitcoin and various bitcoin "forks" like bitcoin cash, bitcoin gold and bitcoin diamonds. Joe probably doesn't care. Price hikes are creating the excitement , not any real currency trading discussions on, say, statement-of-work vs. proof-of-stake. The focus is on whether bitcoin will hit $20,000 on the U.S.-focused exchanges (already eclipsing that mark in South Korea, where the crypto mania is even bigger). Nothing else seems to matter. But the bitcoin bulls, especially those who care about the bigger picture, need to answer these issues; In a chart from Convoy Investments that went viral Tuesday, bitcoin is now officially the biggest bubble the world has ever seen , as measured as a multiple of its starting price. The spike eclipses the chaos around Dutch "tulip mania" in the 1600s, the Mississippi Bubble of the 1700s, and the dot-com bubble of the late 1990s and early 2000s. The rise has been so swift and severe that even bitcoin insiders are joining with regulators and other officials to warn of the downside risks. Coinbase founder Brian Armstrong wrote in a blog post that bitcoin prices are volatile and that folks should "invest responsibly." Mike Novogratz, a famed hedge fund manager turned crypto-investor, called it "the biggest bubble of our lifetimes." Even the founder of liitecoin told potential buyers Monday night that buying his currenc Continue reading >>
Litecoin (ltc) Surges Despite Litecoin Cash (lcc) Lift Off
Litecoin (LTC) Surges Despite Litecoin Cash (LCC) Lift Off Litecoin (LTC) is surging on the market today, as most of the top ten remain stagnant. LTC is currently trading for $247.59, up 10.02%, in 24 hours. In the past week, Litecoin has surged nearly 60% in its price. The start of its surge was from LitePay Incs announcement of a new payment platform made specifically for Litecoin. The tweet reads, We started because the people asked BitPay to accept LTC. They wouldnt so we took the challenge. The company will begin signups for its platform on February 26th, as it is currently in its beta testing stages. If youd like to sign up for LitePay, you can do so here . A Litecoin wallet will also become available to the public and will be available for all desktop and mobile browsers. LitePay will also roll out an official Litecoin VISA debit card, which users will be able to spend LTC wherever VISA is taken as well as take Cash out from an ATM that is registered with VISA. Litecoins Founder, Charlie Lee, gave a public service announcement a few weeks ago via Twitter (NASDAQ:TWTR) about the potential Litecoin fork. Lee called it a scam and made sure crypto investors knew that it was no way related to the actual Litecoin team. This isnt new or surprising as there are already three other Litecoin forks: Litecoin Plus (LCP), LiteCoin Ultra (LTCU), LiteCoin Gold (LCG). On Sunday, Litecoin Cash (LCC) was born on the hard fork that occurred onblock 1371111. LCC landed on Yobit, a Russian cryptocurrency, yesterday and in a days time the coin skyrocketed in price almost 1,000%. LCC has yet to be listed on Coinmarketcap or Livecoinwatch and is not supported by many of the major cryptocurrency exchanges as yet. It remains too early to tell if Litecoin cash is a pump and dump or if it Continue reading >>
Litecoin Ultra (ltcu)
In the area of cryptocurrencies there are nowadays several coins trying to establish themselves in the market. Again and again new ones are thrown out of nowhere, with the intention to join the giants like Bitcoin, Ethereum etc. in the future but many of them fail, the competition is huge and we are getting bigger and bigger. In this case the talk is of LiteCoin Ultra, I havent gained any trading experience with him yet, but who knows what the future will bring. The current big coins are more or less shot up from now on, hardly anyone would have expected it so why shouldnt this be possible withLiteCoin Ultra? The course should therefore not be left out of sight in case of interest, because who would not have liked to participate in the Bitcoin from the beginning the increase in the shortest time was unbelievable. Investment in cryptocurrencies is always risky, but as long as these coins are relatively unknown, it is possible to generate large profits with little capital. You can mine to LiteCoin Ultra on various online portals or buy it there. I Think I Finally Understand Why Charlie Lee Selling His Litecoin Is A Good Thing - Litecoin
I think I finally understand why Charlie Lee selling his Litecoin is a good thing Trying to sift through the verbal warfare that is the Bitcoin / Bcash world right now, its very challenging to know who to believe, especially if youre not a cryptographer/coder/cypherpunk/economist/product developer/currency trader all rolled in to one. On one hand, it is argued that Core / Blockstream have a vested financial interest in keeping blocks small because they will make their millions from sidechains and Lightning. On the other hand, it is argued that Ver and Wu (and even Coinbase) want bigger blocks and BCH to succeed because they own a boatload of it and Bitmain mines most of it and will make out like kings if it becomes the more popular coin. There are genuine arguments on each side of the debate, and accusations of personal interest hinder anyone new to the argument from being able to understand whats happening. Heck, I even saw Adam Back bragging about trading bitcoin the other day on twitter. I mean, it felt wrong that he was celebrating making winning trades while people in Africa are ditching his beloved Bitcoin because they cant afford to transfer it anymore. The reality is, I cant really believe Ver because he stands to grow his wealth if BCH takes off. And I cant really trust Blockstream because they stand to gain if sidechains and L2 take off. As long as those involved clearly have a financial stake in one of the outcomes, its impossible to take their arguments about how to move forward with much weight. Causing a coin to increase in price on the exchanges is not the same thing as making a global decentralised digital currency that anyone can use. And now Charlie Lee no longer has any pressure to worry about doing what it takes to make the price of Litecoin go up. Continue reading >>

[ANN][LTCU] LiteCoinUltra |5% PREMINE ONLY|COINMARKETCAP|CRYPTOPIA| JOIN NOW! I want to announce LTCU will have MASTERNODES soon! Will do that with a new coin, will be LTCUm, and everyone will be able to swap his/her LTCU for LTCUm. Wont be a mandatory swap, just volunteer swap. Swap ratio will be 2/1 (2 LTCU will be swaped for 1 LTCUm) New Web site will be finished soon too, with more news! Masternodes will need 25k LTCu and will have: I just want this coin to grow and to be a very important coin in the crypto world, and I really think we can do that. Sadly, almost all the miners are dumping LTCU in the market at very low price, and that is not good for LTCU. Becouse of that, we need some actions to make more demand of LTCU, and it is necessary to move to a bigger volume exchange. It is well know big exchanges have BIG listing fees, and to be able to pay that fee, I had been dealing with some investors to be able to get some BTC to make it possible. So at current LTCU price, I had to sell big premine amount, but I did it! To make this coin great, on of the first rules it is to be as much transparent as possible with the premining use, and thats why I decided to create this simple excel file: As you can see, I get some BTC selling 1M Ltcu, and I put 500.000 Ltcu in a locked wallet until 08/2018 (I hope that 500.000 Ltcu will make me rich in 1 year! lol) So ... stay tunned... becouse in the next days LTCU will be in a BIG exchange and start getting amazing volumes!!
