Daily Updated Table List Of Blockchain Based Games : Blockchaingame

Pioneer in blockchain gaming. Currently has biggest auditory and market turnover per day. But since no new functionality has been added by developers(you could only breed, buy and sell), market is dropping prices each day. Hard to enter for newbies and earn something. On other hand has interesting science side to breed new cats. Honestly think it will be one of the longest projects, however it is hard earn there right now, HODLers very rare cats might win at the end of 2018(Gen0 cats will no appear). It is just very short description about project, more details coming soon. With current prices and price of breeding there are very little kittyfans right now One of the most potentially best blockchain games with battle mechanic(will be working from 8th Jan but is already implemented in smart contracts) and design looks like Pokemons. Started as ponzi-like scheme, but developers turned it into amazing solution as gen0 holders which might moon just in next few weeks. Those who hadn't returned their ROI received eggs which will turn into additional gen0 mons. Moreover project leader nakasatoshi has opened weekly thread about current status and seems to be very positive and hardworking guy. Personally I'm very excited about Etheremons and waiting starting trade/lease/battle functionality. Project spend 0(ZERO) dollars on marketing and have already huge community. Continue reading >>

What itsactually used for is buying kittens. CryptoKitties, an online game that debuted on Nov. 28, is now the most popular smart contract -- essentially, an application that runs itself -- on ethereum, accounting for 11 percent of all transactions on the network, according to ETH Gas Station. Thats up from 4 percent on Dec. 2 for the network, which uses the distributed-ledger technology known as blockchain. The game is actually clogging the ethereum network, leading to slower transaction times for all users of the blockchain, which is a digital ledger for recording transactions. "The pending transactions on the ethereum blockchain have spiked in the last 24 hours, mostly from CryptoKitties traffic," Nolan Bauerle, director of research at CoinDesk, said in an email. In the game, players buy cartoon kittens, and then breed them with other cats. More than 22,000 cats have been sold so far, for a total of $3 million, according Continue reading >>

Tug Of War, Etherplay's First Unstoppable Game - Ethereum

Tug Of War, Etherplay's First Unstoppable Game Do you have any demo gameplay? Maybe a video? no, but that's a good idea. I might try to do one. It is an asynchrnous game so the action is limited. Here is a quick video : Hey, neat video. I wanted to let you know that opponent is misspelled in the game video. It says "waiting oponent". oups, I ll correct that in the game, thanks This really helped me understand the game, thank you We are happy to announce the beta launch of our latest project. Our first unstoppable game : Tug Of War This game runs entirely on the ethereum blockchain (testnet only for now) and we provide a nice looking interface at It is a two player asynchronous game where player takes turn to win. We wrote a blog post that gives a bit more details here : Tug Of War is a fully decentralized 2 player game where they bet some ether and try to win. The game takes place in rounds. For each round players decide how much units they want to spend. After both players made their move, the one who uses more units wins the round. The first player to win 3 rounds more than the other player wins the game. If both players get out of units, the one with more rounds won, wins the game. By the way you can get a game link to share if you unselect the match making option (like I did below) EDIT (29/09/2017 11:44 GMT):We discovered an unfortunate bug on the smart contract that block games when more than 7 hours passed. The last player who made the last move in that case would be able to win the game. During testing we were using shorter value and it turns out there were an overflow on the 24h time check. The website has been updated with a new contract but you can still access your old games at When you create a new game you have an option to use match making. if you unsele Continue reading >>

I Just Lost $3,000 Investing In Ripple (and Tron), And It's A Dangerous Feeling

I Just Lost $3,000 Investing In Ripple (And Tron), And It's A Dangerous Feeling I write about video games and technology. Opinions expressed by Forbes Contributors are their own. It turns out I didn't have $3,000 after all. There was a moment, the other week when it felt like I did, and I wrote about it here . I had made the plunge into cryptocurrency after much hemming, a deal of hawing and a couple of agonizing days watching the price fluctuate as Coinbase chugged my USD into ETH. My first bet on Ripple (XRP) paid off handsomely, though not so handsomely as it would have had I been able to buy it when I wanted to. A subsequent bet on Tron (TRX), worked out even better, and for a moment it even seemed like I had been able to staunch the bleed off of a Ripple peak by moving those coins into Tron -- a successful trade from the successful investor, clearly. You can see where this is going. [Ed note: Investing in cryptocoins or tokens is highly speculative and the market is largely unregulated. Anyone considering it should be prepared to lose their entire investment.] Prices collapsed, both across the board but moreso for my coins in particular. The Coinbase coins -- Bitcoin, Ethereum, BitcoinCash and Litecoin -- haven't been hit as hard as the smaller coins, and Ethereum, in particular, is still up overall. But the altcoins are getting hammered, and where there once was money now there is not. Perhaps there never was. The reasons are various: South Korea is considering getting aggressive about regulating cryptocurrencies, and the entire market is suffering as a result. South Korean traders, for a time, seemed to be responsible for the atmospheric rise in Ripple, after all. And then there are the cracks: Ripple is a promising idea for transferring funds, but the reality o Continue reading >>

Ethereum Price Achieves New All-Time High at $518, CryptoKitties Effect? Join our community of 10 000 traders on Hacked.com for just $39 per month. Ethereum price has achieved a new all-time high at $518, surpassing its previous all-time high established on November 29, at $514. According to leading cryptocurrency market data providers CryptoCompare and CoinMarketCap, the vast majority of recent trades were processed in the US cryptocurrency and Ethereum exchange markets. Currently, the US market accounts for more than 33.71 percent of global bitcoin trades. For many months, the South Korean market remained as the leading Ethereum exchange market, often accounting for at least 30 percent of global Ethereum trades. Recently however, the US market overtook the South Korean market, with GDAX, the flagship cryptocurrency exchange of Coinbase, processing most of the Ethereum trades in the global market. From September to the end of November, the price of Ether has not made major movements, mostly because the impact the ban on initial coin offerings (ICOs) by the Chinese government had on the local Ethereum market and the rapid increase in the value of bitcoin. In early December, the price of Ether started to record small gains, triggered by the communitys excitement on the developer activities around the Ethereum blockchain network. Most recently, Ethereum-based decentralized application (dapp) CryptoKitties gained massive success. The smart contract of CryptoKitties has accounted for nearly 14 percent of the entire Ethereum networks transaction volume, which is higher than the transaction volume of all other cryptocurrencies in the market combined, including bitcoin. While many members of the cryptocurrency community dismissed CryptoKitties as a simple collectibles-based g Continue reading >>

Today we all know that Haoose was in the end correct on the escrow service. A year ago the CEO of Steam, GabeNewell replied to a Reddit AMA question whether or not cryptocurrencies would be accepted as a form of payment on the gaming platform Steam. His response at that time was; There are two related issues: one is treating a crypto-currency as another currency type that we support and the broader issue is monetary behaviors of game economies. The first issue is more about crypto-currencies stabilizing as mediums of account A few weeks ago BitPay partnered with OPSkins, a gaming platform evolved around CounterStrike: Global Offensive (CS:GO). World Of Ether | Exclusive Interview With Co-founder Alain Goldman!

World of Ether Co-Founder Alain Goldman Exclusive Interview Blockchain-based games are taking the crypto world by storm. The first game to blow up on the crypto market was the Ethereum based CryptoKitties. It introduced gamers to the future of gaming, with the entirety of the game to be held on a blockchain. World of Ether is the latest Ethereum based game surging in the market. In the first 6 hours of launch, the game sold more than 250+ monster eggs and within 48 hours racked in almost $500,000 in presale eggs. If youd like to read more about the game, click here . Just yesterday, the team launched an affiliate program which ends when the game is fully launched, anticipated Q1 2018. We got to sit down and chat with the games co-founder, Alain Goldman, for an exclusive interview on the games progress and launch. What makes your game stand out from the rest of the games on the cryptocurrency market, more specifically the ones built on the ethereum blockchain? The reason we stand out has to do with the atmosphere and overall experience weve created. When you land on worldofether.com you can feel the craftsmanship and the attention to detail. CryptoKitties created the space. It was crypto-gaming 1.0 and it brought in what we believe to be the age of the crypto-collectibles. However, with this came the vultures, pyramid schemes, and copycats. The stage was young, and speculators were uneducated. The first games took advantage. They shut down their contracts and performed a disappearing act with millions *poof* disappearing into thin air with no accountability. These bad actors were all anonymous, masked in a veil of secrecy, and they gave crypto-games a bad rap. In an effort to create trust in the space, we added accountability. We showed our faces, invited users to look Continue reading >>

Cryptokitties: Blockchain Game Makes Ethereum And Cryptocurrency Fun | Inverse

The revolution will not be televised. It'll be sent to your inbox by us. Theres no question, cats are the rulers of the Internet. Our feline overlords are on the front page of reddit every day, in countless Youtube videos, and now theyve taken over the cryptocurrency and bitcoin competitor Ethereum. CryptoKitties is a game where users can collect, trade, and breed virtual kittens using smart contracts on the Ethereum blockchain . Over the past couple days, the game has exploded in popularity. It was officially released on November 28th and Axiom Zen , the Vancouver and San Francisco-based tech company that made the game, already had to raise the price of joining because the sudden influx of new players was jamming up Ethereums network. Due to network congestion, we are increasing the birthing fee from 0.001 ETH to 0.002 ETH. This will ensure your kittens are born on time! The extra is needed to incentivize miners to add birthing txs to the chain. Long-term solution will be explored very soon! CryptoKitties (@CryptoKitties) December 3, 2017 But what exactly do cats have to do with cryptocurrency? First off, CryptoKitties is built on the same thing that makes cryptocurrency possible, blockchain technology. All you have to do is buy some ether and use it to pay for your very first feline friend. Once you buy your first kitten, that transaction gets added into the blockchain as a permanent receipt of your purchase. CryptoKitties is sort of like buying a virtual toy, except with digital scarcity literally built into the purchase. Theres no central authority overseeing the game, with everything instead decentralized and tracked on the blockchain. That permanent online record is meant to guarantee the kitties you buy and the money you spent wont just disappear overnight. The Continue reading >>

Blockchain - How Would I Explain Ethereum To A Non-technical Friend? - Ethereum Stack Exchange

How would I explain Ethereum to a non-technical friend? I've recently attempted to explain Ethereum to several non-techy friends. My explanation usually involves starting with a comparison to Bitcoin, but this quickly becomes complicated as I then have to explain the backstory of how the Bitcoin blockchain works, which is similarly technical in nature. Is there a better way to describe the general concepts of Ethereum to non-techies? Are there any analogies I can make to things that are less technical in nature? Or is it just the case that the technology is quite complicated...? Ethereum is a world computer [ 1 ] and might change how we interact, just like the internet did, 20 years ago. Like Bitcoin, it is based on a block chain, but Ethereum is more than just a currency: Secure backbone for e-commerce and the Internet of Things Integrated development environment for debugging, development and deployment of Ethereum applications Free software - all released under the General Public Licence (GPL) The substantive content of your Answer was almost entirely in a linked video and therefore unavailable in this StackExchange.
