Cryptocurrency Crash Sees Suicide Hotline Appear On Reddit Forum, As Bitcoin Price Continues Slide

Cryptocurrency Crash Sees Suicide Hotline Appear on Reddit Forum, as Bitcoin Price Continues Slide Bitcoin and other virtual currencies have nearly halved in value since last month, prompting a popular cryptocurrency forum to offer suicide prevention support to any members who may have been impacted financially by the price crash. The cryptocurrency forum on Reddit, which has almost half a million subscribers, featured a post with links to the U.S. National Suicide Prevention Lifeline, as well as other suicide and mental health resources for people who live outside the United States. The price falls of bitcoin and other major cryptocurrencieslike ethereum, litecoin and ripplehave been attributed to a variety of factors, including news reports in South Korea and China about increased government regulation on exchanges, as well as the closure of the popular crypto platform Bitconnect. The suicide prevention post on Reddit , posted by a user going by the name of A_Internet_Stranger, explained how people new to cryptocurrency investing would be among the worst affected by the recent price drop. In Pictures: The 50 Most Powerful Military Forces in the World The hardest hit people are one of the following: Newcomers, Margin Traders, or Day-Traders (and those in Bitconnect), stated the post, which has received more than 45,000 upvotes and more than 3,000 comments. The vast majority of people who have held for more than 60+ days are still in the green. During the late 2017 price surges, prominent cryptocurrency figure George Popescu spoke of the need for a specialized suicide prevention hotline for people affected by the significant swings. Ethereum Vs Eos Shots Fired On Reddit As Vitalik, Dan Larimer Clash

Ethereum Vs Eos Shots Fired On Reddit As Vitalik, Dan Larimer Clash

Ethereum vs EOS Shots Fired On Reddit As Vitalik, Dan Larimer Clash Clash of the Titans over Ethereum or EOS as better In a sort of nerdy Clash of the Titans, two of the biggest names in Blockchain technology are having a conversation on which of their two systems has better overall usability for transaction numbers. The first in the ring was Buterin , who responded to an Ethereum Reddit thread post claiming that EOS was far superior to Ethereum because of the number of transactions and flexibility that Ethereum cannot offer. The Ethereum cofounder argued that EOS , Larimers brain child, while offering large numbers of transactions but through a system that removes the protections of Merkle proofs and makes it impossible for regular users to audit the system unless they plan to personally run a full node. He also argued that the nature of EOS decentralization through DPOS causes undue reliance on voting, which has proven problematic in the past with low voter turnout and little to no voter incentive. Lastly, Buterin took issue with EOS fees, since transactions are linked directly to coins held, making it costly for poorer users: The poor, who are not interested in putting the entirety of their often very low savings into a funky new crypto asset in order to be able to use a Blockchain. Larimer , for his part, addressed the difference with EOS and validation, stating that Ethereum is built more on a system of trust with the block producers, whereas EOS has a faster and more simple sync feature for those who are not producing full nodes, making it easier to validate. Larimer also dealt with voter turnout, pointing out that measures have been taken to increase voter appearance and participation. Finally, he addresses fees, noting that those who use the EOS chain generally Continue reading >>

I just dont understand how omg will make it long term with competition and other stuff? I under it makes sense for the SE Asian area but idk about world wide? Im hearing rumors of 1-3% transaction fees... is this at all possible because it seems really high to me. Dont give me the do your own research bs I have Im just wondering if anyone cares to speak about omg and how they see it becoming much bigger. I own some omg but Im thinking about investing a lot more Are people expecting the release of the SDK wallet to boost the price? Are there any examples of this happening with other tokens? I'm not concerned with the price in the short term, but I'm curious to know what people are expecting. I think we'll see a modest price increase with the wallet release. I think to reach ATH or higher though it would take news of adoption or major corporate deals they may have and be under NDAs for now. I think the market will recover more slowly from the recent dips and corrections than previous ones. I think the recent string of downswings will cause people who are overly exposed or who invested out of December FOMO (without any idea what crypto is) to sell off as they recover their losses which could keep the market growth a little slower than previous months. Without big news or partnership and adoption, I think OMG will still be a longer term growth that will be more organic and hopefully less speculative than a lot of other alt coins out there. I'm expecting significant gr Continue reading >>
