Can I Claim Segwit2x With A Blockchain.info Wallet?

Can I Claim Segwit2x With A Blockchain.info Wallet?

Can I claim Segwit2X with a blockchain.info wallet? I have a blockchain.info wallet, but I am not sure whether I would be able to claim segwit2x? I edited your title to make your question more clear. Always make sure the title of your question is a brief summary of the question. It will help attract more and better answers. Jestin Dec 27 '17 at 18:01 You just need the private key. A wallet (irrelevant which wallet) stores your private keys. You will probably not be able to send segwit2x with the blockchain.info-wallet, but you will be able export your private keys of your blockchain.info-wallet and then you can import them into a new segwit2x-wallet. Well, that is good news. So I don't have to move my btc to the websites which are partners of Segwit team? Milad Moosavi Dec 27 '17 at 17:08 No. You do only need control over your private keys and that seems to be the case. If they were on an exchange, the exchange had the control over them. By the way: Attention: There are scammers at the moment who try to "save your S2x or your bitcoins". Don't fall for this. Alpha Dec 27 '17 at 18:14 @Alpha which exchange support Segwit2X? How can I look them up and move my BTC to them so that when it hapens I dont have to worry about private keys and all that stuff? Hugo Dec 28 '17 at 0:39 As Segwit2X was/is very disputed, I think there is no supporting exchange at the moment. Normally, you must wait at least a week until the first good wallets are realeased or exchanges offer it. Alpha Dec 28 '17 at 7:28 Continue reading >>

Blockchain.info Web Wallet Adds Bitcoin Cash With Full Functionality

Blockchain.info Web Wallet Adds Bitcoin Cash with Full Functionality One of the oldest Bitcoin web wallets, Blockchain.info, has officially added full support for Bitcoin Cash, after supporting Ether earlier this year. Blockchain.info, one of the oldest and most popular Bitcoin wallets, has now officially added Bitcoin Cash with full functionality for users of their web version. Their official announcement post cited the growing demand for Bitcoin Cash and the projects aim to empower their users as the reason behind the new addition: At Blockchain, were always looking for ways to empower our users to interact with the digital economy in new, meaningful ways. We also fired up the wallets web version to verify, and found Bitcoin Cash listed along with Bitcoin and Ether (which was added in August this year). We had also been credited with Bitcoin Cash corresponding with the amount of Bitcoin held in the wallet on August 1, 2017. Bitcoin Cash, which is a fork of Bitcoin, with a higher block size and consequently lower fees and faster transactions, is considered by its community to be the real Bitcoin, as envisioned by Satoshi Nakamoto, and laid out in his 2008 whitepaper, Bitcoin: A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System. However, proponents of the original Bitcoin accuse Bitcoin Cash and Roger Ver, its vocal advocate, of using Bitcoins name and brand to boost their alt coin. That being said, Bitcoin Cash (BCC/BCH) is currently ranked fourth, with a market cap of $29 billion, and is trading over $1,700. While it may not be as valuable as Bitcoin, it has significant capital backing it up, and Roger Ver recently announced an upcoming Visa debit card for Bitcoin Cash , which may lead to a further surge in its value. If you dont own any Bitcoin Cash yet, you can either buy it fro Continue reading >>

Blockchain.info Wallet Opens Bitcoin Buy, Sell Features For Many Us Customers

Blockchain.info Wallet Opens Bitcoin Buy, Sell Features for Many US Customers UK-based Blockchain.info wallet announces US customer support for BTC buy and sell services, soon to add Ether and Bitcoin Cash. UK-based Blockchain.info , a digital wallet provider, has announced that they have begun offering users in 22 states the ability to buy and sell Bitcoin . According to the announcement, the company plans to continue adding services for US-based clients, including Ether and Bitcoin Cash exchanges in coming days. The move is being seen as a direct assault on Coinbase, which has seen some user pushback in recent weeks over decisions to integrate Bitcoin Cash rather than focusing on implementing Segregated Witness . Blockchain.info CEO Peter Smith, speaking with CNBC regarding the current state of the market, said: "If we are prioritizing short-term gains, we would prioritize buy that is what most people have done. But it's really time to make sure we nail that experience. Currently the company has approximately 22 mln users, with between 30 and 40 percent being US-based. The numbers seem to indicate that adoption is still in its infancy. Dr James Andrew Butler, Co-founder and COO of digital asset platform Sharpe Capital told Cointelegraph: "The emergence of an increasingly large number of Blockchain service providers, and particularly those that reduce the technical barrier to entry for the mainstream adoption of cryptocurrencies, is an emphatic signal to the world of traditional banking and capital markets that Blockchain technology is not going anywhere. The market capitalization of all cryptocurrency currently sits at less than $600 billion, this is a tiny amount in the context of global capital markets. Were beginning to see the earliest days of mainstream adoption Continue reading >>

The Blockchain.info wallet is highly popular for a number of reasons. People love the easy-to-use layout, as well as the Blockchain.infos positive reputation. However, there are also a few drawbacks to the service due to it being online. Blockchain.info is an established trusted company with years of experience and millions of users. People like the smartphone apps functionality. Experienced Bitcoin users dont like the potential risks of an online hot wallet. There a few reports of accounts being emptied and stolen. There are claims that customer support is often unhelpful or completely elusive. People generally like the software when it comes to the functionality and day-to-day use. The major issue (if any) is the potentially lapses in security. Whether or not the users complaining that their wallets got hacked were taking adequate security measures isnt known, but its worth noting that online wallets can be risky. Plus the customer support often ignores this complaint leaving users a little high and dry. It is recommended that the wallet should be used for lower Continue reading >>

Selling Bc Or Ether From My Blockchain.info Wallet Elsewhere?

Selling Bc Or Ether From My Blockchain.info Wallet Elsewhere?

You are at: Home Questions Selling BC or Ether from my Blockchain.info wallet elsewhere? Selling BC or Ether from my Blockchain.info wallet elsewhere? Last updated on January 16th, 2018 at 01:02 pm Proper newbie question, so I apologise: new to BC, so got a wallet at Blockchain.info (most popular, allegedly) and found nothing but minimum sell amounts, exorbitant fees (25-40%) and massive delays. Anyway, I exchanged my BC to Ether, which has since spiked, so Ive turned a small profit. However, Blockchain.info wont let me sell the Ether, while exchanging to BC, then selling said BC will slash another 70%-odd from the value. Is it possible to sell the Ether elsewhere, or am I stuck using my Blockchain.info wallet (thus, Blockchain.info) for this investment? I think I dreamed of a day-trading arrangement, where I could just buy and sell at the touch of a button, making a margin from the volatility I should have known better! Buy and Trade Bitcoin and Altcoins. Top 1 Exchange! [url=Cold Storage for Bitcoin and Altcoins Ledger Nano S[/url] Yes, Blockchain.info allows swapping between BTC and ETH now via the Shapeshift.io exchange (really need to invent a new term to distinguish Shapeshift from regular exchanges). Shapeshifts rates arent the greatest but thats the price of convenience. Anyway, you can easily withdraw your ETH to a different exchange, and from there convert it to fiat which you can pull back to your bank account. I assume that youre looking to take profits in fiat here. I would suggest using BitStamp.com or Kraken.com (which is currently down for maintenance) for this purpose. Theyll work for you if youre in the US or Europe anyway. Basically, what youll need to do is sign up with another exchange which offers a fiat market in Ethereum, complete the verificati Continue reading >>
