Litecoin Ultra (ltcu)

Litecoin Ultra (ltcu)

How to Mine Litecoin - A Guide on Litecoin Mining and Other Altcoins LITECOIN ULTRA is a peer-to-peer cryptocurrency and open source software project released by a group of litecoin fans, entrepreneurs, and junior developers. Creation & transfer of coins is based on an open source cryptographic protocol and is not managed by any central authority. While inspired by, and in most regards technically nearly identical to Litecoin (LTC), Litecoin Ultra has some technical improvements over Litecoin, and most other major cryptocurrencies, such as the adoption of Proof Of Stake (PoS) and Proof Of Work (PoW) random superblocks. These effectively allow a greater amount of transactions to be processed by the network in a given time, reducing potential bottlenecks, as seen with other cryptos. Litecoin Ultra also has near zero payment costs and facilitates payments approximately four times faster than Bitcoin. The Litecoin Ultra project was launched on the 11th July 2017 when the first block of LTCU was mined. The Litecoin Ultra blockchain is a fork of the Bitcoin blockchain and was launched without an initial coin offering (ICO), high pre-mine, or pre-allocation of funds. Including a 100% fair unstamined launch. With a small initial pool of funds to draw from, and pay development expenses, Litecoin Ultra is and will continue to be a 'labour of love' of its developers and community. Continue reading >>

A Cryptocurrency Founder Sold All His Coins After 7,500% Rally Litecoins Lee says trying to avoid conflict of interest Sale may cause short-term dip in price of digital currency Charlie Lee, creator of the worlds fifth-biggest cryptocurrency, cashed in during a 75-fold rally this year. The San Francisco-based software engineer whose litecoin was founded in 2011 sold and donated all of his holdings over the past few days, he said in a Reddit post . The disposal was aimed at preventing a conflict of interest when Lee makes comments on social media about the digital currency that could influence its price, he said. Litecoin has been very good for me financially, so I am well off enough that I no longer need to tie my financial success to litecoins success, Lee said. For the first time in six+ years, I no longer own a single LTC other than a few collectors coins. Lee declined to comment in the post on how many coins he sold or at what price, but noted that the amount was a small percentage of daily volume and did not crash the market. The news for litecoin investors is positive because it allows him to speak freely on social platforms, said Michael Kazley co-founder of Crescent Crypto Asset Management, a U.S. passive digital-asset fund. On the other hand its also nega Continue reading >>

Time To Go Bargain Hunting In Bitcoin, Ripple, Litecoin And Other Cryptocurrencies?

Time To Go Bargain Hunting In Bitcoin, Ripple, Litecoin And Other Cryptocurrencies? Opinions expressed by Forbes Contributors are their own. Cryptocurrency markets have been in a sharp and broad correction recently, which has turned into a crash for most listed currencies. For obvious reasons: rising government regulations, hacking and the tightening of liquidity by major banks to mention a few. But with many currencies trading anywhere from 60% to 80% below their all-time highs, and the advance/decline ratio improving, the time may be ripe to go bargain hunting. Looking For Everyone's Thoughts On The Current Litecoin Market Having Stabalized : Litecoin

First things first. This is my new crypto alt so yeah it's a fresh Reddit account. I got into crypto in late November 2017. I'm diversified with holdings in LTC, BTC, ICX, and ETH. I'm truly loving this space and a happy holder of LTC. I just wanted to ask the long term holders of LTC thier thoughts on the current market so I can gain inside from the old boys. I'm liking this current steady market, even though it's bearish. I'm feeling like it represents the strong long term holders. The swing has calmed down so much that the last few weeks have been somewhat predictable, even though I understand how volatile this market is. So what do you old heads think of how things are going currently? Nice steady bottom with room for improvement. Obviously we all want the moon but how is the old money feeling and what are you thoughts? I'm looking for real thoughts and experience, not so much posts that's just tell me to HODL. I get that sentiment and understand long term in crypto. Continue reading >>

Litecoin Founder Charlie Lee Says Hes Sold All His Holdings In The Cryptocurrency

Litecoin founder Charlie Lee says hes sold all his holdings in the cryptocurrency Charlie Lee, who founded litecoin in 2011, "sold and donated" all of his litecoin tokens over the past few days. The litecoin creator said there was a "conflict of interest" with him holding litecoin. The creator of litecoin has sold off all of his holdings in the cryptocurrency he created. Charlie Lee, who founded litecoin in 2011, said on Reddit Wednesday that he had "sold and donated" all of his litecoin tokens over the past few days except for some physical ones he keeps as "collectibles." Lee said he is sometimes accused of talking about the price of the digital currency on Twitter for "personal benefit." "Some people even think I short LTC (litecoin)!" he said. "So in a sense, it is conflict of interest for me to hold LTC and tweet about it because I have so much influence." He added: "I have always refrained from buying/selling LTC before or after my major tweets, but this is something only I know. And there will always be a doubt on whether any of my actions were to further my own personal wealth above the success of litecoin and cryptocurrency in general." Last week, Lee told CNBC he doesn't like to speculate on price moves because he is "always wrong." "If I tell you it's going to go up and it doesn't, you'll be upset," he said in an interview. Litecoin Founder Sells All His Litecoin But Promises Not To Leave Charlie Lee, founder of the cryptocurrency Litecoin (LTC) has sold all his LTC, but will devote himself to growing the Litecoin platform Litecoin (LTC) founder Charlie Lee announced today on Reddit and Twitter that he has completely unloaded all his Litecoin holdings via selling and donation. He wrote on Reddit: For the first time in 6+ years, I no longer own a single LTC thats not stored in a physical Litecoin. (I do have a few of those as collectibles.) According to his Reddit post, the amount Lee sold was a small percentage of GDAXs daily volume, and it did not crash the market. Please read the whole post. Reddit thread is here: pic.twitter.com/VoIlA0Xjj3 Charlie Lee [LTC] (@SatoshiLite) December 20, 2017 According to the announcement, Lee decided to sell all of his Litecoin because of the potential for conflict of interest, given the influence his personal statements can have on the coins price. He explained that by selling all his LTC, he can fully separate his own opinions and actions from the performance of the cryptocurrency, stating: whenever I tweet about Litecoin price or even just good or bads news, I get accused of doing it for personal benefit. Some people even think I short LTC! So in a sense, it is a conflict of interest for me to hold LTC and tweet about it because I have so much influence. Lee did give some clue regarding his future, reassuring users that he is in no way abandoning his creation. With his own personal finances stable, he plans to devote himself to Litecoin, and expects to meet with a variety of other rewards beyond the price appreciation of his coins: Dont worry. Im not quitting Litecoin. I will still spend all my time working on Litecoin. When Litecoin succeeds, I will Continue reading >>

Price Analysis, Dec. 12: Bitcoin, Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash, IOTA ... Litecoin is a digital currency and is working based on open source software published according to the MIT/X11 license. Litecoin currency is created and transferred relying on an open source protocol of cryptography and is controlled in a distributed manner by the Litecoin community. Although Litecoin is considered to be technically similar to Bitcoin (BTC), it has some methodological enhancements over Bitcoin and many other digital currencies. Two important improvements are the implementation of Segregated Witness, adoption of Lightning Network. The enhancement enables a higher number of transactions to be processed by the system in a specific time frame, decreasing likely bottlenecks which are often seen in Bitcoin system. Litecoin's payment cost is near zero and its speed is nearly four times faster than that of Bitcoin. Litecoin was published on GitHub in 2011 by Charlie Lee, a former Google programmer. It was a clone of the Bitcoin Core client with a difference of block time (2.5 minutes). Litecoin also increases the maximum number of coins, another hashing algorithm (scrypt). Continue reading >>
