This site is a simple calendar of events with dates and times for coin meetings, happenings and more. You can submit your own events on the site as well. There is a telegram notifier group that you can also sign up for to get notified when events get added in and 'to do' list where the developers of this site list out the things they want to add moving forward. You can also find the Coins Calendar on twitter. I don't know if there are any similar projects but that kind of calendars is deinetely a usefull thing. I would like to see an option of making a custom calendar (preferably with notifications) for ICO that you invest in or just seem interesting to you. Nice site, it has potential if at least one person is actively developing it. Here are a few suggestions to improve your site: 1. Enable https on your site. This is very important to build trust with users and search engines. From what I know Google gives a low search score to non-https websites. 2. Find someone that knows english well (punctuation also) to do a proof read of your website and point out inconsistencies. I found quite a few without looking for them. 3. See that your site has the language setting set to english by default. Chrome asks me if I want to translate Polish, but the site is in english. You have to define that in your HTML properly. 4. Contact us seems to be empty, put at least a small text and a email address or a google forms link. Keep a Continue reading >>

You've likely heard some of the following terms if you've paid attention to the world of finance: Cryptocurrency, Blockchain, Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, and Ethereum. But what do they mean? And why is cryptocurrency suddenly so hot? First, we'll explain the blockchain basics. As society become increasingly digital, financial services providers are looking to offer customers the same services to which they're accustomed, but in a more efficient, secure, and cost effective way. The origins of blockchain are a bit nebulous. A person or group of people known by the pseudonym Satoshi Nakomoto invented and released the tech in 2009 as a way to digitally and anonymously send payments between two parties without needing a third party to verify the transaction. It was initially designed to facilitate, authorize, and log the transfer of bitcoins and other cryptocurrencies. Blockchain tech is actually rather easy to understand at its core. Essentially, it's a shared database populated with entries that must be confirmed and encrypted. Think of it as a kind of highly encrypted and verified shared Google Document, in which each entry in the sheet depends on a logical relationship to all its predecessors. Blockchain tech offers a way to securely and efficiently create a tamper-proof log of sensitive activity (anything from international money transfers to shareholder records). Blockchain's conceptual framework and underlying code is useful for a variety of financial processes because of the potential it has to give companies a secure, digital alternative to banking processes that are typically bureaucratic, time-consuming, paper-heavy, and expensive. Cryptocurrencies are essentially just digital money, digital tools of exchange that use cryptography and the aforementioned blockchain tec Continue reading >>

Bitcoin Price Calendar

The data releases below represent trade, employment, retail and central bank policy announcements selected from the multitude of global economic data releases made every week. While these data releases may have no direct or empirical correlation to the Bitcoin Price, it stands to reason that wider economic conditions affect currency markets (and, therefore, impacts speculative Bitcoin traders,) as well as consumer spending behavior (thereby impacting on Bitcoin merchants). The prospect of improving or deteriorating global economic conditions shifts investors attention to alternative investments and safe havens and, hence, has implications for Bitcoins role as store of value. Economic Data With Implications For Bitcoin CCN is monitoring the impact of wider economic data releases on the Bitcoin price . Some indicators are listed for their general significance, and others are listed for their specific expected relevance to Bitcoin, such as regulatory announcements. In each case a weight (from 0 to 3) is assigned, based on the announcements relative impact on the Bitcoin price regardless of whether it is perceived as positive or negative. Weight 0 = No explicit (or unknown) impact Weight 1 = Global economic impact (affecting Bitcoin adoption and usage in the long-term) Weight 2 = Forex and cryptocurrency impact (affecting Bitcoin Traders and Merchants) Weight 3 = Specific Bitcoin impact (Bitcoin regulation, Bitcoin investment, etc) The following data indicators will have an impact on the markets during the coming week, and are also expected to have a bearing on sentiment towards Bitcoin . Tron (trx) Is Destined To Electrify The Crypto World

Tron (trx) Is Destined To Electrify The Crypto World

Tron (TRX) Is Destined To Electrify The Crypto World I must admit that when I first heard of a coin in the Cryptocurrency world called Tron (TRX), I immediately thought about the Disney Franchise that has had many geeks (including myself) dreaming about light-bikes and teleporting into the digital world of their computers integrated circuits. The first movie was a bit of a graphics nightmare, but the reboot in 2010, made up for it. Especially with the Daft Punk soundtrack blasting through the surround system when watching the movie! Tron (TRX), the coin, is also going through a sort of reboot as I type this. It is getting stronger in terms of popularity, proving to the naysayers that it was not an empty project and constantly trying to pump some good prices on the cryptocurrency markets. In the past week, Tron had shown signs of breaking free from the dreaded ties to Bitcoin in terms of market performance. We all know that when Bitcoin (BTC) thrives, all of the alternative coins (alt coins) also thrive. But when Bitcoin fumbles, the rest fumble Tron included. Could it be that our Tron will be the first to break free from the jaws of Bitcoin in an epic bull run? So how is Tron going to electrify the Crypto currency world in a manner similar to the Daft Punk soundtrack in the 2010 reboot of the film with a similar name? To begin with, TRX is showing signs of proof of concept. The problem with most coins after an ICO is to deliver on the promises showcased on the whitepaper. Tron (TRX) is showing signs of proving the naysayers with a bunch of releases this year. It surely wants to decentralized the entertainment industry. Any content creator can now be able to distribute, market and generally control their content over a decentralized blockchain. The first release by the Continue reading >>

Apple Approved A Mac App With A Misbehaving Crypto-mining Feature

Apple Approved A Mac App With A Misbehaving Crypto-mining Feature

Apple approved a Mac app with a misbehaving crypto-mining feature The crypto miner wasn't supposed to be aggressive, but a couple of bugs caused it to go berserk. You'd think apps with crypto-miners could only be found in various shady venues on the internet . But that's apparently not the case: a popular alternative for the Mac calendar called Calendar 2 recently gave people a way to unlock its Premium features by bundling in a Monero miner with a recent update. And, yes, it was available for download straight from iTunes -- it's just not clear whether it slipped past Apple's watchful eye or if the tech titan really approved it. While you're supposed to agree to switch the miner on in a dialog box (pictured below), at least one person is saying that it launched without his permission: @SGgrc @QbixApps Calendar 2 for Mac (from the App Store) launched a cryptocurrency miner without my permission. Then it ate 200% CPU until I found it and killed it. I didn't expect a miner infection from an App Store vendor. Wow. It runs the xmr-stak Monero miner. Fred Laxton (@fredonline) March 12, 2018 Gregory Magarshak, founder of Calendar 2's developer Qbix, told Ars Technica that the miner's rollout was affected by a couple of bugs. One caused it to run indefinitely, even if you didn't agree to switch it on or even if you changed your settings. The other caused it to consume more resources than the 10 to 20 percent of computer power Qbix thought it would use. That increase on consumption means the miner could push host computers beyond their limits and use a lot more electricity than usual. Qbix has decided to completely remove the miner from future versions of the app, telling Ars: "We have decided to REMOVE the miner in the app. The next version will remove the option to get free Continue reading >>

An ICO is a fundraising tool much like IPOs that allow investors of any size to trade future cryptocoins in exchange for cryptocurrencies. Generally, you send the ICO Bitcoin or Ethereum and in return you receive the coin that the company is creating. Traditionally, IPOs have had high barriers to entry in terms of minimum capital contribution, preventing a lot of interested investors from investing. However, with the introduction of ICOs, people can invest as little as a few dollars. This is changing the game in the venture capital space. As with investing in stocks, bonds, and real estate, investing in ICOs / cryptocurrency has both upside and downside. Because Bitcoin is built on the idea of direct peer to peer transfer of value, cryptocurrency is more liquid than traditional fiat based investments. With ICOs it varies with when the tokens are listed by exchanges. While there are a lot of opportunities in this space, one must be caut Continue reading >>
