Best Cryptocurrency & AltCoins Portfolio Management Apps of 2018 By: Harsh Agrawal In: Cryptocurrency Last Updated: Do you hold other crypto coins apart from Bitcoin ? Do you find those not so popular coins and invest in them? If the answer to any of the questions above is a resounding yes, you must have faced the issue of keeping track of the return from each coin or your existing portfolio valuation. If you are becoming a pro cryptocurrency trader, you also need something better than excel sheets to quickly analyze your cryptocurrency portfolio and take a call on buying/selling. As far as Im concerned, I started my journey by using Excel sheets. It was one hell of a task and sometimes quite tiresome, considering the number of entries that would go in. Moreover, since most of the task was manual, I often missed out on good buy/sell time. After few months of frustration, I started looking for a solution and thats when I found about cryptocurrency portfolio management apps. These apps are developed to help seasonal or full-time cryptocurrency investor and traders for effectively monitoring and managing their portfolios. Here, Im sharing some of the best portfolio management apps for cryptocurrency users. You can pick and choose depending on your requirement. Rule of thumb for the majority of people looking to invest their earnings is to put money in quality, high-dividend stocks and other low-risk assets perhaps an index fund and forget about the whole thing for at least a few years. But in the crazy-volatile world of cryptocurrencies , none of those rules apply. There are no low-risk assets. Prices swing up and down in double-digit percentages on a weekly basis. And one month in crypto is like a year in the real world something that's valuable now could be completely gone in a few years. This is why one of the most important apps in the life of a crypto-investor is a portfolio-tracking app. True, it will ruin your life by making you check how your coins are doing every other minute, but that's a small price for becoming crypto-rich, no? SEE ALSO: How to calculate the exact amount of Bitcoin riches you've missed out on The problem with portfolio-tracking apps is that there's no single one that does the job perfectly. Some are versatile and pretty but don't track all the coins out there; others are updated fast and track all the coins but don't have all the options you might need. Here's an overview of the best apps out there and their strengths as well as weaknesses. Probably the most popular portfolio tracker out there only exists as a mobile app. It tracks a very large number of coins, and has a myriad of options, including checking the actual order book and on different exchanges for each coin, and a basic but usable news feed. A particularly useful option are alerts when a coin reaches a certain price. Since many crypto exchanges don't fully support stop- Continue reading >>

Keeping Track Of Your Cryptocurrency Portfolio; Best Apps Of 2018

Keeping Track Of Your Cryptocurrency Portfolio; Best Apps Of 2018

Keeping Track Of Your Cryptocurrency Portfolio; Best Apps of 2018 By The 'Stache on Saturday, January 6, 2018 Whether you are a day trader, swing trader, or just a HODLer of cryptocurrency it can be a nightmare trying to keep track of all your investments. Let me repeat that... complete... damn... nightmare! I am mostly a long term holder of cryptocurrency, with a few swing trades thrown in there for good measure, so even with my very small amount of trades it can be hard to keep track of my profits and losses from my coins. That is why having a good cryptocurrency portfolio management app is crucial for knowing how well your investments are doing and what their real value is. I put together this list of the top cryptocurrency portfolio management and tracking sites of 2018 so you don't have to dig through all the options! There are a ton of great platforms out there to track your cryptocurrency portfolio and I have tried some of the top options below. Despite all of these being very solid, I STILL suck at keeping track of my investments and it is all MY fault. Even with this great offering of software I still have trouble managing my portfolio and visualizing my profit/loss and it is all because I get lazy... I make trades or purchases of ICO's and then just forget or don't bother entering them into these amazing apps. This is my personal warning to myself really... "The 'Stache NEEDS TO STOP BEING SO LAZY!" Regardless of my own shortcomings I still think these are the cream of the crop for tracking your portfolio. Without further adieu (and in no particular order), the top crypto management tools! In my eyes, Altpocket.io is one of the cleanest and well designed portfolio tracking sites out there. I probably use this site the most out of all the trackers because I LO Continue reading >>

How To Track A Crypto Portfolio?

How To Track A Crypto Portfolio?

When you first buy Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies, to buy them you need an account on an exchange. Most exchanges allow you to buy larger coins like Bitcoin and Ethereum, but if you want to buy smaller coins often you need to create accounts on more than one exchange. If storing long-term you'll also need to create wallets for each coin you own. For 1 or 2 exchanges/wallets this is fine, but if you're not careful you can lose track of how many coins you have and where they're stored. This guide explains how to solve this problem using a Crypto Portfolio Tracker. Expanding on the intro above, if you hold coins across more than one wallet/exchange, when you want to work out your total balance (or even the total balance of a particular coin), you need to log into each wallet & exchange, note down the amount, and add it up manually. In the case of wallets, you can get the balance of most coins publically via its public key, so rather than having to log into your wallet you can just list all the wallet public addresses and go through them. For exchanges, most of them provide some sort of API for getting the balance of your account (you'll only need read-access to check your balance, so even if someone got their hands on this they wouldn't be able to steal money using a read-only API key). There are 2 main categories of portfolio/coin trackers. Manual trackers, where you need to update it each time you buy/sell a coin, and automatic ones, where they'll work out your balance automatically using public wallet keys and exchange APIs. If you're very security conscious, you might not want to give your public wallet key/read-only API key to any 3rd party software. In this case it's best to use a manual tracker, where you keep it updated yourself. See this post for some possible Continue reading >>

This holy trinity makes building a roadmap relatively easy and with this post wed like to share what we have planned for the coming months. Sit tight!:) While December is already underway, we still have some stuff to launch for our iOS & Android apps, including: Some small to medium sized features & tweaks that might surprise you! The idea is to launch this in the week of December 11th, with a one to two day Beta testing period for our PRO subscribers. Moonitor: Cryptocurrency App Tracker For Macos, Windows And Linux

Moonitor: Cryptocurrency App Tracker For Macos, Windows And Linux

Ive tried so many apps on desktop to track my crypto assets, but I wasnt satisfied with them. Usually, when the apps are good looking unfortunately they lack of features. And those packed with features often have a poor user interface. Also, most of them are calling different free API every now and then which is not scalable when there are lots of users at the same time. Some apps are even processing all the data on their server, meaning that nothing is really live and 100% reliable. And the bad news is that they save the users data[1] online. And they can collect it, use it, study it or even worse, sell it. [1] currencies, holdings, total balances, everything you told them, this, that, and who knows what else! Every free apps out there are selling your data to marketers and other companies. Thats how they make money. As a user, you may end up receiving annoying spam or being targeted for things you dont even need. Moonitor saves every data on the users computer with no hidden intermediary. Nothing is saved online, nothing is collected or sold ! When a crypto app is ridiculously slow or down and cant provide the current market value or your balances its mainly because it is using some free APIand/or processing the data on its own server. Also, in case of user peak, chances are that the server will be almost impossible to reach. Moonitor uses the official APIs from the exchanges themselves. It is more reliable and precise. It also keeps the connection open via WebSocket, so you dont need to refresh it each time. Follow all your selected assets with ease using a beautifully designed user interface. Keep track of your data with user friendly graphs and know when to buy and sell for profit via the BTC value of each currency. See the current market value of your assets at a Continue reading >>

Home Video Training Best Cryptocurrency Portfolio Trackers written by CryptoCoinMastery October 21, 2017 When it comes to cryptocurrency investing, you need to know your numbers. I see too many investors making trades without actually knowing their total profit/loss of the trade! I outline some of the best cryptocurrency portfolio trackers in the video above and the article below: If you are looking for a way to track your cryptocurrency on a mobile device, Blockfolio is the best option. The app allows you to add coins to a watchlist, set pricing alerts for coins, and check the past history of your portfolio. The Blockfolio alerts are a tool that I would not be able to live without. They help me to stay on top of all of my coins while I am on the go. One of the top cryptocurrency informational sites, CryptoCompare , has a portfolio tracker of their own. If you are looking for an in-depth analysis of your portfolio, this is the application to use. CryptoCompare is able to calculate everything from profits to taxes. I would suggest using their platform if you are a more advanced trader. A startup company called Altpocket.io is attempting to make an intuitive portfolio tracker that integrates social elements into the application. The idea is that the application would be able to show you how well you are trading compared to your friends. It is an interesting idea but the application is still too buggy and confusing to use. Although there are many fancy options to use, I personally like using a google sheet because it gives me full control. I am able to get the exact information that I want and lay that information out in a way that is easy for me to quickly read. It also gives me the opportunity to add new features too my system without having to go through an external com Continue reading >>

Top 10 Free Crypto Portfolio Trackers For Both Pc And Mobile

Top 10 free crypto portfolio trackers for both PC and Mobile 10 Comments on Top 10 free crypto portfolio trackers for both PC and Mobile News In this article, well give an in-depth review of the top 10 best free crypto portfolio trackers. This analysis will contain both desktop and mobile app products. Weve tried over 30 different cryptocurrency trackers and narrowed it down to the best. In order to give the most objective review possible, this article will not contain any referral links, sponsorships, or advertising. We based our analysis on two main criteria: User Interface and Functionality. Visual appeal can really impact a users experience. We judge design by how easy it is to process information thats important to crypto investors. Ease of navigation across the site/app is also weighed heavily. By functionality, we mean the breadth and depth of products they offer. CoinGecko is a tracker which provides information on the prices of various coins and their charts. Its very difficult to navigate through, and the main purpose of the website is unclear. There are just a ton of advertisements that make it quite distracting. One advertisement for an ICO per page for a website still undergoing Beta testing is okay, but two is just too much. The ads are more like live animations and you cant help but look at them rather than accomplishing your main task of researching coins. It really leaves a lot to be desired. The main dashboard provides information on the coins which you want to track. Specifically, they have information regarding its liquidity and exchanges where they are available. But the whole design of this is just not intuitive and takes a lot of learning. There is also a news feature, where they provide articles that they feel are important. But it would be bett Continue reading >>
