What Is The Best Cryptocurrency Portfolio Tracker?

What Is The Best Cryptocurrency Portfolio Tracker?

What is the Best Cryptocurrency Portfolio Tracker? So youve started buying and selling some Bitcoin, then bought some Ether, and perhaps even ventured further to buy some Dash and Litecoin. After some time, seeing that youre profiting massively, you decide to sell some of your tokens. Some time later, you decide to buy a new token that you believe will revolutionise the world. The problem is, of course, keeping track of all these purchases and sales. You want to keep track of whether youre actually turning a profit or not, plus you need to present your results to the taxman come end of year. So what are your options? Surprisingly few, I discovered. Here are the three best online cryptocurrency portfolio trackers: Cointracker is the newest portfolio tracker on the market, and I think its the most promising one. They have automatic import from exchanges built-in, and the interface is very clean. Their support is fantastic, and best of all, everything is free. This is the system I would have built if I had to build a tracker myself. I hope they continue developing it and including more advanced features as it would really be the undisputed leader once these features are implemented. What Id like to see is better computation of the portfolio when including withdrawals to offline wallets like the Ledger Nano S. Cryptocompare has a clean interface, and while it doesnt have any exchange integrations (meaning you have to enter all trades manually), it does give you a very clear idea of how your portfolio is performing. You can also add more than one portfolio. The big issue and deal-breaker is when you need to sell some crypto. There is no way to just enter the crypto you sold and select which cost basis to use. Lets sidetrack for a minute and talk about cost basis. Since Bitc Continue reading >>

Top 10 Free Crypto Portfolio Trackers For Both Pc And Mobile

Top 10 free crypto portfolio trackers for both PC and Mobile 10 Comments on Top 10 free crypto portfolio trackers for both PC and Mobile News In this article, well give an in-depth review of the top 10 best free crypto portfolio trackers. This analysis will contain both desktop and mobile app products. Weve tried over 30 different cryptocurrency trackers and narrowed it down to the best. In order to give the most objective review possible, this article will not contain any referral links, sponsorships, or advertising. We based our analysis on two main criteria: User Interface and Functionality. Visual appeal can really impact a users experience. We judge design by how easy it is to process information thats important to crypto investors. Ease of navigation across the site/app is also weighed heavily. By functionality, we mean the breadth and depth of products they offer. CoinGecko is a tracker which provides information on the prices of various coins and their charts. Its very difficult to navigate through, and the main purpose of the website is unclear. There are just a ton of advertisements that make it quite distracting. One advertisement for an ICO per page for a website still undergoing Beta testing is okay, but two is just too much. The ads are more like live animations and you cant help but look at them rather than accomplishing your main task of researching coins. It really leaves a lot to be desired. The main dashboard provides information on the coins which you want to track. Specifically, they have information regarding its liquidity and exchanges where they are available. But the whole design of this is just not intuitive and takes a lot of learning. There is also a news feature, where they provide articles that they feel are important. But it would be bett Continue reading >>

The Best Way To Track Your Crypto-portfolio

The Best Way To Track Your Crypto-portfolio

A brief overview of the best crypto portfolio trackers currently offered. So you bought a gazzilion alt coins and got yourself into a million ICO's and now you're not even sure how much money you have, right ? Well, me too. At some point I knew I was gonna need to centralize all my coins in one place, the problem was finding prices for all those tickers. Also, when the money on crypto started getting real (at least for my standards) I definitely had to treat it as an investment and keep track of its performance. I ended up struggling a bit to find a few, so I thought I'd just come over and share with you all my findings. Note: They are also useful if you only own a handful of coins but trade a lot and need some kind of performance tracker. Coin-Folio Very simple web based tool. You can manually import your trades into it. Nothing special about it. A lot of people seem to use CoinGecko but i don't see anything special about it. The one pro they have is that it has a whole news platform integrated on it. Aside from that doesn't seem huge. It won't let you upload your balances to it, only lets you choose the coins you want to see the price. A lot of good things being said about Coincap . The website does not let you do much, but it has a mobile app for both iOS and Android and lets you keep track of up to three portfolios. Lionshare is a Mac-only free app. Its design is quite attractive, although the app is very simplistic. It only lets you input the amount of each currency you own. Doesn't deal with trades at all. Even so, it is a nice gadget to have on your Mac and glance at your holdings. Cryptofolio may not be good-looking, but is a quite flexible tool. It requires some technical knowledge (like being able to use an API). But in case that's for you, it's a good free t Continue reading >>

Once you own some Bitcoin or other digital assets you will want to find the most efficient way of keeping track of your new investment and wonder "what is the best cryptocurrency portfolio tracker?". With so many coins across a plethora of exchanges, some of which overlap but others that don't this isn't the easiest thing to do straight away unless you only hold a few coins and purchased them from 1 or 2 exchanges. Like most who take the red pill and get hooked this won't be the case and finding a good way to manage this will be of utmost importance. There are several ways you can do this so let's take a look at some of the options available. The most popularly talked about tracker is the smartphone app for iOS and Android devices that allows you to keep tabs on your favorite coins as well as track the amounts you hold, the trades you have placed and set alerts. While this is the most popular tool and an app I use daily my personal preference is to use it as an alert tool to let me know via notifications when prices hit my buy or sell zones. The reason for this is that the process is very manual without any support at present for API's to automatically import your trades and holdings and I'm not the biggest fan of using a phone, give me a laptop or desktop to work from any day! Blockfolio is constantly improving the app and have added news stories and other features but automated imports are what we are all still waiting for to get full use out of this tool. The best feature of this app is having alerts while you away from the keyboard, I use this to then decide if I need to go and buy or sell something or not. Spreadsheets! Remember the fun you had with spreadsheets at school or the office? Nope, me neither, aside from an easter egg that allowed you to plan snake in E Continue reading >>

I like the free API integration available in iOS and supports both iPad and iPhone. The periodic tips from the market are really helpful, Ive used two of those tips in my trading within one week of using the app and it worked out well. Theres still a few additional features that could be added and I wouldnt mind paying for them as I am convinced that the app is fairly stable and well maintained. Some of them include support for candle stick charts, fix the issue that shows no difference when you select different time periods, provide integration with TradingView or other similar platforms, create a watchlist portfolio, calculate % profit loss by selected currency instead of always being on $ value. Join us to discuss and discover crypto news, project launches, and Q&A with experts. Hey! We are open to public users for CoinTracker and we'd love to get your feedback on how we can improve to continue building the best cryptocurrency portfolio manager. We're also happy to answer any questions you may have about CoinTracker/crypto/etc. Thanks for checking us out! Before CoinTracker, I was a product manager on Project Loon @ Google[x] and Jon was a software engineer at Google. We had both previously worked together on Google Now (you can read more about our backgrounds here: www.cointracker.io/about ). Now we are working on CoinTracker a cryptocurrency portfolio manager that securely and automatically syncs your transactions and balances from top exchanges and wallets. CoinTracker supports over 2,000 cryptocurrencies and is pushing the boundaries on what users experct from a portfolio tracker. I've casually been into crypto for a while (did a CS project in college about Bitcoin in 2012, worked on a Coinbase/Google Now integration in 2014), but got much more serious about crypto last year with the big rise in altcoins & speculation. We initially started working on CoinTracker because we couldn't keep track of our own crypto investments. Even answering a basic question like what is my cost basis or how much USD have I invested into crypto was ridiculously complicated to answer. There had to be a better way. We looked around, couldn't find a good solution, so we went ahead and built one. Initially it was just the two of us using our own tool, but then we posted on reddit, crypto forums, etc. and random people started using our product and loving it. Word of mouth has been huge for us. I think the turning point for me was when I got an email from a Spa company in Bangkok a Continue reading >>

Rule of thumb for the majority of people looking to invest their earnings is to put money in quality, high-dividend stocks and other low-risk assets perhaps an index fund and forget about the whole thing for at least a few years. But in the crazy-volatile world of cryptocurrencies , none of those rules apply. There are no low-risk assets. Prices swing up and down in double-digit percentages on a weekly basis. And one month in crypto is like a year in the real world something that's valuable now could be completely gone in a few years. This is why one of the most important apps in the life of a crypto-investor is a portfolio-tracking app. True, it will ruin your life by making you check how your coins are doing every other minute, but that's a small price for becoming crypto-rich, no? SEE ALSO: How to calculate the exact amount of Bitcoin riches you've missed out on The problem with portfolio-tracking apps is that there's no single one that does the job perfectly. Some are versatile and pretty but don't track all the coins out there; others are updated fast and track all the coins but don't have all the options you might need. Here's an overview of the best apps out there and their strengths as well as weaknesses. Probably the most popular portfolio tracker out there only exists as a mobile app. It tracks a very large number of coins, and has a myriad of options, including checking the actual order book and on different exchanges for each coin, and a basic but usable news feed. A particularly useful option are alerts when a coin reaches a certain price. Since many crypto exchanges don't fully support stop- Continue reading >>

Keeping Track Of Your Cryptocurrency Portfolio; Best Apps Of 2018

Keeping Track Of Your Cryptocurrency Portfolio; Best Apps of 2018 By The 'Stache on Saturday, January 6, 2018 Whether you are a day trader, swing trader, or just a HODLer of cryptocurrency it can be a nightmare trying to keep track of all your investments. Let me repeat that... complete... damn... nightmare! I am mostly a long term holder of cryptocurrency, with a few swing trades thrown in there for good measure, so even with my very small amount of trades it can be hard to keep track of my profits and losses from my coins. That is why having a good cryptocurrency portfolio management app is crucial for knowing how well your investments are doing and what their real value is. I put together this list of the top cryptocurrency portfolio management and tracking sites of 2018 so you don't have to dig through all the options! There are a ton of great platforms out there to track your cryptocurrency portfolio and I have tried some of the top options below. Despite all of these being very solid, I STILL suck at keeping track of my investments and it is all MY fault. Even with this great offering of software I still have trouble managing my portfolio and visualizing my profit/loss and it is all because I get lazy... I make trades or purchases of ICO's and then just forget or don't bother entering them into these amazing apps. This is my personal warning to myself really... "The 'Stache NEEDS TO STOP BEING SO LAZY!" Regardless of my own shortcomings I still think these are the cream of the crop for tracking your portfolio. Without further adieu (and in no particular order), the top crypto management tools! In my eyes, Altpocket.io is one of the cleanest and well designed portfolio tracking sites out there. I probably use this site the most out of all the trackers because I LO Continue reading >>
